SOPHIE DERBYSHIRE - SPRINGBOARD
My name is Sophie and I specialize in springboard events. I was a competitive gymnast and swimmer until I was thirteen but began diving at age nine. I started diving in Dunedin after watching an event on the t.v and being confident that it would be easy for me to pick up. My family moved to Wellington when I was fifteen, and in 2025 I was awarded with the World Aquatics Diving Scholarship to train in Toronto. I am now based in Wellington where I am studying a double degree in Law, International Relations and French. I really enjoy the feeling of flying, perfecting my dives and competing. @sophiederbyshirediving World Junior Diving Championships (2024) Canada Cup (2026) American Cup (2026)
