NEW ZEALAND DIVING
Diving New Zealand is excited to announce that a team of six divers has been selected to compete at the FINA World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea, between 12–28 July 2019. This is our largest World Championships team in decades.
2018 Commonwealth Games team members Liam Stone and Anton Down-Jenkins (both selected for 1m, 3m and synchronised 3m) will be joined by first time World Championship team member Nathan Brown who will contest the 10m platform event. Nathan, a recent recipient of a FINA Scholarship, will also be New Zealand’s first male platform diver to compete at a World Championship event in decades. |

Yu Qian Goh and Elizabeth Cui who finished in 4th place in the women’s synchronised 3m springboard event at the 2018 Commonwealth Games will again contest that event. Elizabeth will be joined by Shaye Boddington in the women’s individual 1m and 3m events.
New Zealand has previously pre-qualified a spot to the mixed 3m synchronised springboard final at the World Championships and the composition of that team will be announced in the coming months. Congratulations to all divers and their coaches. We are looking forward to supporting you in the lead up to South Korea! |
